Handmade in Peru

What makes MAMAKAY special are the families of artisans with whom we collaborate. All our products are made with 100% Baby Alpaca wool by artisans and families from peasant communities in Peru using ancestral manual techniques.

We ensure that as few intermediaries as possible intervene to ensure a fair price for the artisans. , in addition to maximum transparency in its entire artisanal production process.

Preserving the craft

For us it is very important to preserve the authenticity of the product and the know-how of the artisans. That's why we involve them in all phases of the process, from the initial design to the last label.

It is a very honest and open process, in which they are owners of their ideas and the management of their time. Hence, many Mamakay products require more flexible production times.

We work hand in hand with different communities and peasant families in the Peruvian Andes, creating artisanal products made with manual techniques that they have learned from their ancestors.

One of the most versatile techniques for producing a fabric, which allows artisans to work from home taking care of their families, being also an excuse to meet, chat and laugh and have a good time.
